DESCRIPTION

The apartment is located in the corner section of an old-town residential building in the center of Ljubljana. Both exterior facades of the apartment open towards two parks, providing the space with plenty of natural light and privacy.

The standout quality of the apartment is its spacious common area, where the kitchen, dining area, and living room are organized. The central element of the space is a marble kitchen island, which features rounded corners for a smoother transition.

Behind the kitchen island, there is a built-in cabinet that contains all the necessary appliances and a niche with a sink, which can be hidden with sliding pull-out doors when needed. The front surfaces of the cabinets feature stylized frames that serve as handles and also give the space a touch of old-town furniture. This same detail continues around the corner in the hallway, where doors and cabinets are discreetly placed. All the furniture in the space is movable, allowing flexible use of the area during larger gatherings.

Along the hallway, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Due to the original arrangement of the windows and the preference for a large living space, the rooms are optimally arranged. We visually enlarged them using lights and light materials. The bedrooms are functionally designed, with all storage surfaces installed on one side from floor to ceiling. Due to limited space, the bed is placed in a niche that is softly rounded, giving the room a sense of warmth and softness. The bathroom has been given a visual highlight with marble finishes.

For shading across all rooms, we've implemented blackout curtains with tracks discreetly integrated into the ceiling recesses. These recesses cleverly mask the indirect lighting that lines the curtains, enhancing the room's elegance.

With the renovation, we reinterpreted the key features of the old-town apartment and adapted them to modern living standards.
