Ljubljana Barber

The first barber shop in Ljubljana is located in the noble rooms of the Grand Hotel Union.

The protected frescoes inside presented both a limitation and a challenge for us. We designed a load-bearing iron structure, which is anchored in the ceiling and leaning on the floor, onto which we mounted the furniture.

With the use of selected pieces of furniture, we aimed to approximate the grandeur of the bourgeois hotel. We wanted to create a functional workspace with modern materials and contemporary lines of cupboards and counters. Mirrors visually enlarge the space and contribute to quality service provision.
