DESCRIPTION

The August floods of 2023 caused extensive damage across Slovenia, with the BSH company in Nazarje being severely affected. The ground floor of the business building was completely flooded, with water reaching a height of 2.4 meters. The renovation of the ground floor allowed for a thorough transformation of the space, creating a modern and functional working environment.

The previously closed, and dark space has been opened up and functionally upgraded, continuing the concept of the management offices on the upper floor. The open floor plan with a strict grid of columns has been softened using curved walls and furniture. Wavy linear lights subtly guide movement through the space. The design allows for clear and separate access for employees and visitors, while meeting the strict security requirements of the international company. The open lobby can accommodate a larger number of visitors, where they can view the company's products and a video presentation in the exhibition area. Benches, hidden within the wall cladding, are designated for changing into safety equipment. The kitchenette, located nearby, functions as a waiting area with self-service options for coffee or other drinks, as well as a small conference room. The kitchenette also serves the meeting room and larger multifunctional hall, which offers various configurations and partitioning options.

The executed intervention has become the new face of the company, reflecting its sustainability and technological values. The blend of homeliness and technological sophistication creates the right balance, supporting innovation and development in the company, which specializes in the production of household appliances.
